Metaphor is a way of thinking and a means of cognition.There're three essential factors of metaphor which are tenor,vehicle and ground.On the basis of the analysis on the three features of a metaphor and its cognition methods,this article presents a research into some common techniques of metaphor translation such as the strategy of direct translation or paraphrase translation ,naturalization translation and alienation Translation.
