| Abstract: | The Kubo formula for the conductivity of a mesoscopic system has been extended to a generalized form that includes higher-order corrections using a new formalism based on a subdynamics approach which may be a suitable formula to calculate the current-voltage relations of mesoscopic systems. For demonstrating application of the formula, using this formula, GMR has been calculated, which shows that the higher order correction is important. |
