| 摘 要： | “止”是中医治法术语中的常见动词,其译法多样,各词典标准不一。研究借用美国当代语料库,从搭配的角度对“止痛”的译法展开分析,考证其英译选词的准确性,为最佳选词寻找实证依据。研究以搭配频数和互信息值作为参考标准,遴选出“止”的参考译法。

| Abstract: | Being one of the frequently occured verbs among traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)terms, it has many different English translations in different dictionaries. Taking “zhitong” as an example, this paper explores different translations of “zhi” from the perspective of collocation by using the Corpus of Contemporary American English. The accuracy of different translations has been discussed in order to provide an empirical evidence for the recommended verb translations. Two parameters, frequencies and mutual information, are applied to select the best translations of “zhi”. |
