| 摘 要： | 以李约瑟的《中国科学技术史》和霍金的《果壳中的宇宙》为例,指出科技著作名称的翻译同样要考虑其中蕴含的历史文化因素,尊重原作者认可的中文译名。此外,历史文化因素等附加信息也需着重关注,以便准确传达典故所蕴含的深意。

| Abstract: | Taking two scientific works, Science and Civilization in China by Joseph Needham and The Universe in a Nutshell by Stephen Hawking as example, the author pointed out that while translating titles of scientific books from English into Chinese, historical and cultural backgrounds reflected in the title and the author’s choice of the Chinese version should be taken into consideration. Moreover, attention should also be paid to background information such as literary annotations so as to convey the subtleties of the original version. |
