| Abstract: | The usage of painting brushes resulted from the aesthetic ideas, the common origin of writing and painting, and the nature of material and tools of Chinese painting. It embodies the essential spirits of Chinese culture with aesthetic appearance, sense emergence and ideal realm creation. Furthermore, It determines the symbolic principles and brushing rules for artists to shape artistic imagery, which is a basic mark of Chinese painting. |
