Abstract:A new pesticide HDE, a copper complex of multiple amino acids, was successfully developed recently. Toxicological tests have shown that HDE is of low toxicity on rats oral LD 50 =1380mg/kg and is not cumulative in animal body on the whole. At ordinary dosage, there is no toxicity on DNA of skeletal cells and germinal cells of mouse, no influence on the reproduction of rats. Residual tests have shown that at the ordinary dosage, the residual dynamic equation of HDE in lettuce is C=14 542e -0 327t , the correlation coefficient r is -0 987, the half life is 2 16 days. It was found that after having been sprayed on lettuce HDE vanished 90% on the 7th day, it more than 99% on the 15th day and the content of HDE in lettuce is too low to detect on the 22nd day, which indicates that it is almost non residual in crop.
