Abstract:In the face of the rapid development of prefabricated bridges and the assembly requirements for the reconstruction of concrete barriers of service bridges, this paper proposes a new segmental assembled concrete barrier which is assembled and connected by ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC). Through numerical simulation, the ultimate load, dynamic response and failure mode of new segment assembled concrete barrier and ordinary concrete barrier under quasi-static load and impact load are compared and analyzed. The results show that: the new segment assembled concrete barrier has the same anti-collision performance as ordinary concrete barrier under various loading conditions; UHPC members can absorb a lot of impact energy for the flange plate, which can effectively reduce the flange plate stress and play a certain protective role. This paper provides a reference for the assembly construction of concrete barrier.
