Abstract:Based on experiments on tool wear resistance,tool life,tool edge chipping resistance and cutting force,this paper decals with the cutting performance of Ti(C,N)cemented carbides,TN10 and TN20.When compared with carbide tools YT15 and YN10,it has been shown that the Ti(C,N)cemented carbides depict many remarkable cutting performance,such as higher tool wear resistance,longer tool life and higher tool edge chipping resistance, and should prove to be a promising cutting tool material.
