跨文化交际中红色色彩的文化涵义对比解读

人类文化因语言的产生和发展得以传承。语言既是人类社会交流的工具,也是人类文化的映像。没有离开语言的文化,也没有离开文化的语言。以色彩为例,不同文化对具有相似物理性质的色彩有着近似或迥异的理解方式;不同的语言系统赋予了色彩词汇相近或不同的文化内涵。英、汉两个民族分居于地球的两侧,有着不同的历史文化背景和政治经济体系,受到截然不同的宗教信仰地熏陶。因此,两个民族的语言系统对色彩词汇的理解上也存在着一定的差异性。文章通过对英汉两种语言中红色色彩词汇的对比分析,说明红色色彩在两种文化中的文化涵义对应关系,并指出在语言的学习过程中,应充分考虑语言的文化因素,削弱文化差异的消极影响,进而保证跨文化交际的有效进行。

A Comparative Study of Cultural Connotation of ＂Red＂ in the Cross-cultural Communication

Human culture is developed and passed on as the development of languages.Language is not only a communication medium among cultures but also a mirror of the culture.Without culture,language is soulless.Without language,culture can not exist.Color is physically and psychologically related to human life.The perception of colors depends on natural and cultural environment and is reflected by languages.The connotation and denotation of colors are different as languages vary.The essay researches on the red color in Chinese and English culture.By comparing the connotation and denotation of red in the two cultures,the essay tries to figure out that by studying culture,one can succeed in language learning and promote the cross-culture communication.
