地方高校是中国高等教育体系重要的和主体的组成部分，它们的建设与发展从整体上制约着中国高等教育事业水平。“入世”后，中国政府对教育服务做出了承诺，这些承诺给地方高校带来了巨大的挑战和机遇。面对教育全球化、国际化、教育产业化、高等教育大众化潮流，地方高校如何抓住机遇，迎接挑战，在竞争日益激烈的高等教育市场立足，本文从地方高校的内部管理体制、现代教育理念、教育发展目标和培养目标、专业和课程结构调整、师资建设等诸方面提出了应对的措施。

Chances, Challenges & Countermeasures of the Local Universities with China's Entry into WTO
