| Abstract: | Anatomical studies on vegetative organs of 14 taxa representing 3genera of the tribe Thermopsideae(Fabaceae)from China further confirmedthe consideration that Ammopiptanthus was an isolated and primitive genusand Piptanthus wasclosely related with Thermopsis than Ammopiptanthusamong the tribe.Of various anatomical characters,their vascular system,wood structure,width of xylem rays,shape and size of vessels and va-scular system of petiole and rachis bore obvious significance of phylogeny |
