| Abstract: | Qualitative reasoning is used for building the expert systems asa newkind of reasoning in artificial intelligence,and it has attracted experts' attention.Three major methods of qualitative reasoning,including Order of magnitude reas-oning(Raiman,1986),Comparative Analysis(Weld,1988)and Dimensional An-alysis(Bhashar,1990),are presented.Some of its applications in relation toengineering and technology are briefly described. |
