| Abstract: | In this paper,a new concept-stream-function couple and its corresponding gradient are proposed based upon the character of stream-function previously investigated in fluid mechanics.The relation between the gradient of Stream-function couple and the streamline,velocity distribution,discharge and vorticity is established.Furthermore,in this paper,a new concept-vortex function coupleand its corresponding gradient are proposed,and the relation between the gradient of the vortex-function couple and the vortex-line,vorticiy distribution and vortex-intensity is esteblished.Finally,a method is presented to determine the velocity distribution through these new concepts,when the vorticity distribution is given. |
