Abstract: | In this paper, an approach for resource constrained flexible manufacturing system (FMS) scheduling was proposed, which is based on the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm and simulated annealing (SA) algorithm. First, the formulation for resource constrained FMS scheduling problem was introduced and cost function for this problem was obtained. Then, a hybrid algorithm of PSO and SA was employed to obtain optimal solution. The simulated results show that the approach can dislodge a state from a local minimum and guide it to the global minimum. |
