| Abstract: | The important law that maximum pressure angle of cam mechanism decreases with the increase of the ratio of radius and arm length of follower has been studied. The precise formulas and procedures have been developed,for calculating the basic sizes(radius of base circle,arm length of follower,and distance from cam center to follower pivot point) of disk cam according to allowable pressure angle. Convenient diagrams which can be used in engineering design conveniently has also been presented. |
