| Abstract: | On the basis of experimental results,an empirical formula deter mining intermediate stress σ2 of cohesionless soil under plane strain con diti on is presented.With the formula the change of σ2 can be easily determine d du ring loading.The example and test show that this formula has significantly pract ical value. |
