中学为体 西学为用——对当代国内翻译研究的再思考

当前国内翻译研究的“沉寂”，原因之一是没能处理好中国传统译论与西方译论的关系——轻传统、重西方，丢掉了自己的学术传统，偏离了自己的学术根基。只有遵循“中学为体、西学为用”的原则，重新审视中国传统译论，建立具有中国特色的翻译理论，才是当代国内翻译研究走出困境的惟一出路。

The Contemporary Translation Studies in China as Reconsidered

The ＂silence＂ of the contemporary translation studies in China results from the ill-considered relationship between the Western translation studies and that in China. As a consequence, on the one hand, the Chinese traditional translation theories are much neglected and meanwhile those of the West are much stressed. On the other hand, the contemporary translation studies in China have run far away from their own academic tradi- tion and academic foundation. It is proposed that to follow the principle of taking the Chinese learning as the fundamental structure and the Western learning for practical use, and try to reconsider the Chinese traditional translation theories and develop it with Chinese characteristics is the only way for the contemporary translation studies in China to come out of the dilemma.
