| Abstract: | The benzalacetone is synthesized from phenylaldehyde and acetone in water sodium hydroxide medium. The effects of acetone quantity, the concentration and quantity of sodium hydroxide on the synthesis process are discussed. The yield of benzalacetone reaches 89% in an optimum condition. |
