Two different mechanisms of insecticide resistance to insects

This review relies heavily on the examples of gene amplification in insects and theses published recently. Two different mechanisms have been set forth. The insecticide resistance is generally believed to arise from the gene amplification (i. e. per-adaptive) or the induction of insecticide (i. e. post -adaptive ). The former is hereditable, the latter is not hereditable,but it can lead to the cross resistance.
