| Abstract: | Summary After thin-layer chromatography separation, we have assayed quantitatively noradrenaline, dopamine and its deaminated metabolite 3–4 dihydroxyphenylacetic acid by the ethylenediamine method. In the hypothalamus and the caudate nucleus, the values obtained for the amines and phenolic acid estimation are equivalent or higher than those found by other authors. The presence of ascorbic acid has been shown in the caudate nucleus.
