| Abstract: | With the development of multimedia communication,the research of LAN-based Videoconferencing system has become more and more important.H.323 standard,which covers the technical requirements for multimedia communication systems in those situations where the underlying transport is a packet based network(PBN) which may not provide a guaranteed quality of service(QOS) has been published by the International Telecommunication Union(ITU) in 1996.The technological development of network and compression will surely enforce the technological development of LAN-based videoconferencing system.The components of LAN-based videoconferencing system under H.323 standard and technology of audio compression was argued in this article. |
