媒介地理论：多伦多城市媒介的地理印记与文化认同

城市中的媒介与地理互动关系是媒介地理学的一个重要研究领域。以多伦多为案例，特别考察了几类城市地理元素：标志性建筑、道路、街区，并对城市媒介的内容进行了检索和分析。根据论文作者构建的“城市、媒介、受众互动模型”的分析框架，在统计数据的基础上，研究发现媒介对于地理要素的新闻报道和信息发布的数量多少与该地理要素内在的某些城市功能密切相关；城市媒介在地理要素的信息传播、形象展示、历史记录以及唤起集体记忆方面发挥着重要的作用。城市媒介在与城市地理要索的甄动中，还在一定程度上影响着一些改变地理景观的建设项目的命运。媒介、受众、城市地理要素在造城过程巾互相作用，最终构成了城市的发展史，形成城市的文化认同。

Media Coverage and Cultural Identity of Urban Geographical Elements:A Case Study of Toronto,Canada

The interrelation of urban media and geography is an important issue in media geography. Based on the content analysis of historical data from news media in Toronto, this paper examines the media coverage of several types of geographical elements： landmark architectures, paths, and districts. According to the ＂interactive model of city-media-audience＂ and statistical analysis, the study shows that the quantities of news reporting or information exposing of the geographical elements rely on its underlying social functions. The urban media play an important role in information communicating, urban image representing and history recording, as well as collective memory reminding. Urban media also effect on the fate of some construction projects which might change the urban landscape. The audience, media and urban geographical elements are all eventually involved in the historical process of making a city and creating the cultural identity of the city.
