英语生僻地名、人名对EFL学生阅读的影响

摘    要:以英语测试与问卷调查的方式,对生僻英语地名、人名影响阅读理解的问题进行了研究。在测试中以英语专业大一学生为研究对象,44名受试者被降机分为两组。使用的材料是两套阅读试题,试卷短文内容相同,涉及生僻英语地名、人名。一组被试接受的阅读试卷是含有生僻英语地名卷、人名卷;另一组被试的阅读试卷是生僻英语地名卷、人名释义卷。通过对问卷调查结果和实验数据统计分析得出结论,生僻英语地名巷、人名对EFL学生阅读理解产生影响。

Abstract:The author studies the problem that the effect of uncommon English name and place-name on Chinese EFL learners in our reading education by test. In the trial the object of study is freshmen from English Majors, 44 subjects were randomly divided into two groups. The used reading material is two examination papers. The two papers are the same as the content of a message containing the English names and place-names. A test group is acceptable the article explained the meanings of uncommon English names and place-names; the other is acceptable the reading test articles directly to the uncommon English names not explained the meaning in English. We found that there are impacts of uncommon reading English names and place-names to China EFL learners' comprehension through statistical analysis of experimental relevant data.
