征收环境税下的贸易自由化对污染排放的影响

文章通过构建一个包括国内公司和国外公司的双寡头博弈模型,研究在征收环境税的情况下,贸易自由化对环境污染排放的影响。假定在不完全竞争市场条件下,国内公司和国外公司投入劳动生产不同质的产品,并且都将产品供给国内市场,生产中所排放的污染物作为副产品,并且两国公司都需为所排放的污染物支付环境税。通过博弈模型,求出降低或增加全球污染排放的条件,并且得出,贸易自由化会促使国外公司扩大产品的生产,而国内公司会减少生产;单边的贸易自由化会增加国外的污染排放,但是国内和全球的污染排放会降低;环境税率的提高使国内、国外和全球的污染排放都会降低。

Effect of trade liberalization on pollution emissions considering the imposition of environmental taxes

In this paper,a simple duopoly game model of a home firm and a foreign firm is built to analyze the effect of trade liberalization on pollution emissions considering the imposition of environmental taxes.In this model,the assumption is made that under the condition of the imperfectly competitive market,both home firm and foreign firm use labor to produce a heterogeneous product and supply it to the home market,and emit pollution as a by-product of production,and both of them are required to pay the environmental taxes.Based on the model,the conditions under which the international trade liberalization decreases or increases the global pollution are shown.It is found that the trade liberalization will lead to the production expansion of foreign firm and the production reduction of home firm.And the unilateral trade liberalization will increase the pollution emissions in foreign country,but reduce the domestic and global pollution emissions.The domestic,foreign and global pollution emissions will be reduced with the increase of environmental tax rate.
