Abstract:The aberrant types of chromosomes were gaps, fragment diploid and di-centric in mice bone marrow cells induced by toxic water and benzene. The frequency of fragment (or break ) was the highest. The aberration rale was increased by 4.0% or 5.0% after the toxic water orally administrated or benzene subcutaneously injected respectively. The aberration rate was decreased to 1.0% or 1.5% for those mice orally administrated vitamin E four hours after the toxic water or benzene treatment. These results suggested that there was a protection effect on aberration frequency of chromosome in mice bone marrow cells induced by toxic water or benzene treatment with oral administration of vitamin E.
