Abstract:In this paper, the material and the construction methods of the main cable in small suspension bridges are analysed. The PWS Method (Paralled Wire Strand Method) is introduced briefly and its application in Anxi Fengchen Suspension Bridge is summarized. It can be seen from the application that there should be enough rolls to prevent the bunddled belts from bursting as the main cable is erected over the bridge tower, that the structure solution must be taken against the cable clips slipping, and the production standards of the parable cable must be established as early as possible.
