Abstract:Power-law model was used as the governed equation of the non-newtonian fluid, and the modified darcy law of porous material as well as the modified Reynolds equation of the porous journal bearing lubricated with non-newtonian fluid were derived. The result expresses that the modified Reynolds equation derived is of universal validity. Therefore, the theoretical analysis was presented is in line with the properties of the porous journal bearings lubricated with non-newtonian fluid.
