二、三十年代的创作为丁玲赢得了文学声誉，但她在延安时期创作的作品如《夜》等，极其深刻地揭示了革命以后新的政权建立而女性命运仍然没有改变的现实，体现了她一以贯之的对女性命运的关注和书写。从这个角度说，丁玲延安时期的创作代表了她文学创作的最高成就。随着《太阳照在桑干河上》的完成，女性主义作家丁玲彻底转变成了一个无产阶级作家。
