刘基与高明关系考

现已知史料没有刘基与高明在出仕之前结交的记载。两人的交往可分为处州时期：至正七年（1347年）到至正八年（1348年）;杭州时期：至正八年（1348年）到至正十一年（1351年）;温州、台州和庆元时期：至正十一年（1351年）到至正十三（1353年）;绍兴时期：至正十四年（1354年）到至正十六年（1356年）;退隐以后：至正十八年（1358年）以后。对两人交往的考证表明：对事业生活,刘基受永嘉事功学派的影响,重事功;高明是程朱理学的信奉者,否定事功。对方国珍,刘基主张“宜捕而斩之”;高明的态度则相对温和。对元朝,刘基审时度势,投至朱元璋麾下;而高明选择了为元王朝尽忠尽节。

Research on Relationships between Liu Ji and Gao Ming

According to existing historical materials, there were no concrete records of intercommunication between Liu Ji and Gao Ming before their official careers. Intercommunication between them could be divided into the following period： Chuzhou Period （from 1347, the Seventh Year of Zhizheg, to 1348, the Eighth Year of Zhizheng）, Hangzhou Period （from 1348, the Eighth Year of Zhizheng, to 1351, the Eleventh Year of Zhizheng）, Wenzhou, Taizhou and Qingyuan Period （from 1351, the Eleventh Year of Zhizheng, to 1353, the Thirteenth Year of Zhizheng）, Shaoxing Period （from 1354, the Fourteenth Year of Zhizheng, to 1356, the Sixteenth Year of Zhizheng）, and period after retiring （since 1356, the Eighteenth Year of Zhizheng） Results of research on intercommunication between the two show that： while Liu Ji, affected by Yongjia Shigong School （School that believes in career and merits）, attached more importance to career and merits in his life, Gao Ming, advocator of Cheng-Zhu （Cheng Hao, Cheng Yi and Zhu Xi） Neo-Confucianism, refused emphasizing on career and merits in one＇s life. As to dealing with case of Fang Guozhen, Liu Ji advocated to catch and kill Fang Guozhen, but Gao Ming＇s attitude was relatively moderate. In aspect of loyalty to the Yuan Dynasty, Liu Ji assessed situations of the time and joined the army of Zhu Yuanzhang, but Gao Ming chose keeping loyalty to the Yuan Dynasty.
