| Abstract: | In this paper,an Eulerian model for simulating the scavenging processes of SO_2 below the cloud base during a rain event has been used.The model considers the processes of SO_2,CO_2,NH_3 and H_2O_2 absorption and disassociation in the raindrops. It considers also the oxidation reactions of the S(1v) in the aqueous phase and the vertical temperature profile in atomsphere. The partail differential equations constituting the model are built These equations are solved to obtain the pollutant concentrations of the gaseous phase and raindrops as well as the pH value of raindrops as a function of time and distance below cloud-base. |
