A Recognition Method of the Engineering Drawing Based on the Contour Shape Analysis

A new recognition method of the engineering drawing based on the contour shape analysis can efficiently work while dealing with the degraded drawings with a lot of line breaks and characters touching to a line.This method can obtain accurate line approximation and extract the complete graphics structure .The mathmatic feature description of the local image is also supplied according to the characteristics of the engineering drawings,and is used as the fundation of the area classification.The three intermediate description of the original image is used for the lower-quality drawing recognition,and a line extraction technique based on the contour curvature has been developed for this intermediate description.
