中等强度射电平谱类星体的光学光谱研究

摘    要:采用FIRST亮类星体巡天(FBQS)的一个样本,从传统分类的射电噪类星体中分离出射电中等强度平谱类星体,对它们以及射电噪和射电宁静类星体的光学光谱进行了比较研究,发现中等强度射电平谱类星体有与射电宁静类星体相似的光学光谱.该结果进一步支持先前的研究观点,即观测到的中等强度射电平谱类星体实际上是射电宁静类星体,只是由于经过视线方向相对论性喷流的增强效应,使其在射电波段呈现为传统分类中的射电噪类星体.

Abstract:Using a sample of FIRST Bright Quasar Survey radio-intermediate liar-spectrum quasars are separated from traditional radio-loud quasars. The optical speetral properties of radio-quiet quasars are compared with that of radio-loud and radio-intermediate flat-spectrum quasars, and it is found that radio-intermediate flat-speetrum quasars is similar in optical spectral properties to radio-quiet quasars. This result supports the idea that radio-intermediate flat-spectrum quasars are radio-quiet quasars intrinsically, but appear as radio-loud quasars in aspect of radio wavelength band because they are relativistieally boosted in the let which is close to the line-of-sight.
