摘    要:分析了基于光纤布拉格光栅对并具有动态增益箝制(GC)特性的优化L-EDFA性能,分别从单信道和多信道输入对GC-EDFA的影响进行了模拟.实验结果表明,在信号功率变化和信道丢失时实现了L-EDFA增益的箝制.并在此基础上提出通过增加一级噪声信能优化的EDFA,以改善GC-EDFA的噪声指数.与传统的GC-EDFA相比,该方案结构简单,易于集成.

Abstract:It is significant to propose and theoretically investigate the optimal design of optically gain-clamped(GC) L-band(1570~1610 nm) erbium-doped fiber amplifier(EDFA) to control the EDFA gain to ensure that the gain does not vary dramatically in the presence of input power variations or add/drop of optical channels,in terms of single and multiple-channel schemes by using the two Bragg gratings(FBGs).Compared with the common GC-EDFA configuration,the optimal GC-EDFA configuration can save the gain equalization filter.In addition,we propose a configuration to improve the noise figure of the GC-EDFA.
