当前，我国东西部经济发展的不均衡性仍有加大趋势，这将会影响到我国改革开放的深化和社会主义现代化建设的进程。因此，缩小经济差距，实现区域经济的协调发展是今后改革和发展的一项重要战略任务，作者阐述了积极开发西部地区，实现区域经济协调发展的意义，分析了东西部地区经济发展的优势及存在的问题，提出了发展西部经济的几点想法，建议。

STUDY ON THE COORDINATE DEVELOPMENT OF ECONOMY BETWEEN THE EASTERN AND WESTERN REGIONS OF CHINA

The tendency of unbalance between eastern and western parts of China has been exacerbrated during the course of economic development,Which will inevitably affect the further deepening of the reform and the progress of the modernization construction of socialism.Therefore,to reduce the economic difference and realize the coordinate development of regional economy should be treated as an important strategic task in the process of reform and development.The significance of developing western parts and realizing the coordinate development of regional economy is discussed and the dominating and existing problems for economic development of both eastern and western parts are analyzed.several countermeasure and advice on how to realive the coordinate development of of regional economy are put forward.
