| Abstract: | This paper maintains that modernity is of plurality and diversity, and hence both tradition and modernity might be in convergence, Chinese modernity has its own characteristics. The critiques of western modernity and disputations on modernity and post-modern made by the contemporary western philosophies are of referential values for our exploring and realizing Chinese modernity. The paper further proposes several aspects of strengthening philosophical studies on Chinese modernity. |
