Abstract:The present paper has described the developing history, recent progress andtechnology of self-propagation high-temperature synthesis. It mainly reviews thesyntheses of compounds and complex, sintering, hot-densification, casting andcentrifugal casting, welding, coating, and the theory of combustion waves andcombustion mechanism, etc.
