基于MPLS流量工程的网络仿真技术

摘    要:流量工程是ISP中最难处理的问题之一。ISP要求现有的IP网络具有流量工程管理的能力,并要求IPoverATM方式下的流量工程在纯IP结构的网络中也能得到体现。MPLS正是一种ATM和纯IP网共存情况下提供流量工程,并且避免两个分立网络的技术。但是考虑到成本等因素,对MPLS流量工程的研究很难用真实的物理设备进行,一般采用网络仿真软件降低研究成本。介绍使用NS2网络仿真软件对MPLS流量工程的仿真技术,并提供了一种低成本的研究方法。

Abstract:Traffic engineering(TE) is one of the most difficult tasks for the ISPs.ISPs require the IP network to have the ability of TE,and demand that the TE working in IP over ATM could be functional in the pure IP network.MPLS is the very technology to satisfy the requirements,which provides the TE ability in both IP network and ATM network while avoiding the detachment of two different networks.Yet it is very difficult to use the real equipment to do research in MPLS TE as it would be very expensive.Consequently the network simulator software is often used to lower the cost and research risk.This paper introduces the technology of network simulation for the MPLS TE and provides a low-cost research approach.
