Investigation of Mycoflora in the Stored Grains of Gansu Province

This paper is an investigation of mycoflora in stored spring wheat andcorn grains of Gansu Province.Samples from freshly harvested springwheat grains showed that the type of mycoflora was chiofly composed offield fungi,such as Alternaria,Cladosporium,Helminthosporium,etc.The predominant species is Alternaria tenuis,which occupies 80.9% oftotal count of fungi.When the samples had been stored for one year ormore,however,the storage fungi became dominant in mycoflra of thegrains,and the total number of other kinds of fungi was sharply declined.The predominant kind is Penicillium,such as P.chrysogenum,P.citrinum,etc.The investigation showed that the predominant kind of fungi isolatedfrom stored corn grains is Fusarium,as F.graminerum.
