证书型动机与高职学生英语成绩及性别关系研究

摘    要:探讨了证书型动机与高职高专学生英语成绩以及性别的关系。以安徽医学高等专科学校117名学生为研究对象,58名实验组学生在教学过程中被强化获取高职高专英语应用能力B级考试证书和国家大学英语四级证书意识,而59名组控制组学生实施常规教学。实验结果表明:证书型动机强烈的学生英语成绩要优于对照组学生;证书型动机对女生英语成绩有显著影响。而从长期来看,证书型动机对男生英语成绩影响不显著。

Abstract:It aims to explore the relationship between certificate motivation of students in higher vocational college and their English performance and its gender difference.117 students were divided into two groups:experimental group with 58 students required to obtain certificates of Pretco Band B and CET Band 4 after one year English study and the control group of 57 students without such certificate requests.The results indicated the there was direct correlation between students' motivational intensity and their performance.Besides,the certificate motivation has a greater impact to female students than male ones.
