| Abstract: | Based on the diagnostic strategies adopted by diagnosticians during electronic device diagnosis, the necessity and methodology of integrating the designer's and diagnostician's knowledge in building up a diagnostic expert system are investigated. A prototype of the system is implemented in Prolog for analog device diagnosis. It is used to study problems in system implementation, such as, knowledge representation, control strategy and the machine learning process in knowledge transfer. |
