Abstract:To study the physical structure and the chemical composites of the surface - modified titanium. Methods: The surface of titanium were implanted by calcium - ion in amounts of 1 × 1018, 5 × 1017 ,1 × 1017 ions/cm2, af ter implanted by amino group in amount of 5 × 1016ions/cm2, The modified surface has been characterized using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electron microscope(SEM). The wide XPS profile, the binding energy data and the SEM photos has been obtained. The possible chemical state has been speculated by the Gauss matching analysis. The XPS data reveal that the structure of the surface modified layer of multiple ion - implanted titanium contains a complex of titanium, calcium, nitrogen and amino compound near the surface, and the organic and inorganic components have synergistic actions. The SEM photos show that this technique has no blight to the structure of the material.
