Abstract:The yttrium manganite catalyst was prepared by sol-gel method, and the catalyst was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and fourier transform infrared (FTIR). The ultrasonic degradation of sunset yellow catalyzed by yttrium manganite with sodium persulfate was studied. The effects of pH, initial concentration, catalyst dosage, Na2S2O8 concentration and ultrasonic power on degradation were investigated. The results showed that the optimum degradation conditions were pH 3, 50 mg/L initial concentration of sunset yellow, 0.014 g YMnO3 catalyst, 160 mg/L Na2S2O8 and 200 W ultrasonic power.
