二维椭圆形介质柱光子晶体的负折射成像特性

摘    要:本文利用时域有限差分方法研究了由椭圆形介质柱组成的二维正方晶格光子晶体平板的负折射成像特性.研究表明对于光子晶体第二个能带中的特定频率区域,靠近晶体平板放置的点光源可以经过矩形光子晶体在另一侧形成一个高质量的实像,并且可以实现有效折射率为-1的负折射现象.

Abstract:Negative refraction and imaging properties of the electromagnetic wave through a two-dimensional photonic crystal(PC) slab,which consists of a square lattice of elliptical dielectric rods,is studied by the finite-difference time-domain method.We find that a point source placed in the vicinity of the rectangular PC slab can form a good-quality image spot through the PC slab for the incident frequencies within the second photonic band.And negative refraction of an effective index of-1 can be obtained in this kind of PC slab.
