LXI.—Exotic Muscaridæ (Diptera).—XXI
Abstract:Summary

Acuaria subula is recorded for the first time from Passer domesticus domesticus in the British Isles. A list of the definitive hosts is given. Third-stage larvae of A. subula were recovered from the desert locust Schistocerca gregaria after experimentally feeding these insects with eggs of the nematode. Measurements of the third stage are given. An unsuccessful attempt was made to discover the natural intermediate host of A. subula, and the author speculates on the possible nature of the life-history of this worm.
