| Abstract: | The phase compensated type directional relay described in the paper is based on comparing the phase angles between two compensated voltages. It can handle reliably all faults in 3-phase and 2-phase working conditions. The relay has been used as a key element to realize a new carrier-pilot protection of HV and EHV transmission lines. |
