Abstract:Strain CB-2 with high fermentability to cattle's blood was isolated from soilsamples contaminated by cattie's blood.Preliminary studies on the solid-statefermentation process for cattle's blood with strain CB-2 were carried out andoptimum fermentation conditions were determined.The fermented product con-tained 39.42% of raw protein.Compared with those in the unfermented product,water-soluble substance content and non-proten nitrogen content increased by131.37% andg 90.04%,respectively.Preliminary feeding experiments showed thatfermented cattle's blood could be used as proteic feed additive with high quality.
