| Abstract: | On the basis of an investigation into the features in frequency , direction ,track , maximumwind speeds ,etc oftyphoons landed on Fujian in the past 45 years ,a method estimating extreme windspeeds of typhoon by statistical data of the actually measured wind speeds over the years is presentedand an empiricalformula is given ,thusthe designed wind velocity of suspension bridges in coastal areasis determined reasonably |
