Minimal length in quantum gravity and the fate of Lorentz invariance

Abstract:The paper highlights a recent debate in the quantum gravity community on the status of Lorentz invariance in theories that introduce a fundamental length scale, and in particular in deformed special relativity. Two arguments marshaled against that theory are examined and found wanting.
