全球生物制药行业研发投资网络中的“桥国家”效应

桥国家是跨国公司连续投资中优先被考虑、且对后续投资具有铺垫作用的战略性国家。理解全球投资网络中的桥国家对提升本国外资吸引力和跨国企业研发投资成功率具有重要意义。基于2003~2016年全球生物制药研发投资数据和网络分析法，本研究首先定量识别出全球研发投资网络中的桥国家、并研究其整体格局；其次，探究金融危机对全球桥国家效应的削弱作用。最后，通过桥指标将各国的桥效应量化，对其动态演化特征进行刻画，归纳出3类演化模式。

The "Bridge Country" in the Global Foreign Direct R&D Investment Network of Biopharmaceutical Industry

Bridge countries are those who broker home country and host countries in the sequence of foreign direct investment. A nuanced understanding of these is crucial for countries to attract FDI and for companies to better implement expansion strategies. This paper applies quantitative method to analyze bridge countries in FDI network, explore the evolutions of them and the influence of financial crisis on them. Based on the FDI data from 2003 to 2016, this paper first builds up the FDI network, highlighting the network structure and configuration. Next, we identify three evolutional patterns of bridge countries: ascending, descending and fluctuating pattern. Finally, after separating data to two parts, this paper unpacks the influence of 2008 financial crisis on bridge countries.
