Abstract:Advanced Fenton process(AFP) using zero-valent iron(ZVI) in the presence of ultrasound(US) was studied as a potential technique to remove an azo dye,C.I.Acid Red 73.The influence of various reaction parameters,iron dosage,initial concentration of H2O2 and dye,and pH values on Acid Red 73 removal were studied and optimum conditions were obtained.The rate constants for the process were also investigated.The results showed that AFP-US can enhance the dye removal compared with ZVI-US,H2O2-US and AFP.And the res...
